The National Society of the American Revolution (NSDAR) is a non-profit, non-political, volunteer women's service organization comprising 3,000 chapters and over 180,000 members. The Catherine Schuyler Chapter, NSDAR, is a member of the DAR and would like to welcome you to our site.
Location
The Catherine Schuyler Chapter, NSDAR, is located in Allegany County, New York, which is in the southwestern portion of New York State near the Pennsylvania border. Allegany County is comprised of twenty-nine towns and ten villages.
Allegany County was founded in 1823. The county seat is Belmont.
Our Membership
The Catherine Schuyler Chapter, NSDAR, has 100 members, primarily from Allegany County. We do have members from nearby New York locations and a number of other states.
Our Activities
The Catherine Schuyler Chapter, NSDAR, meets during the months of April through November, on the third Thursday of the month. Each chapter meeting has an educational presentation to promote the many goals of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The Catherine Schuyler Chapter, NSDAR, participates in many activities that preserve history, promote community service, support those who serve our nation, and promote education. Prospective members, who are in the process of applying for DAR membership, are invited to participate in programs and activities of the chapter.
